BLACKWATER just lost rookie Ximone Sandagon to a torn ACL injury.
Coach Jeff Cariaso disclosed the unfortunate incident with less than three weeks before the mid-season PBA Commissioner’s Cup comes off the wraps.
“Yes it was confirmed by the MRI (result) today,” Cariaso said as he shared that the 6-foot-4 product of Far Eastern University got hurt in the Bossing’s first tune up game last Tuesday against Titan Ultra.

Sandagon was the no. 15 overall pick (second round) in the last Season 50 draft.
He was signed to a one-year deal by the Bossing and was set to make his league debut in the mid-season conference.
Cariaso says he's gutted for Sandagon.
“I know it’s always been a dream of his to play in the PBA. Since joining us after his MPBL stint, he’s been a complete professional,” added the Blackwater mentor.
Sandagon didn’t join Blackwater right away after the draft as he played out his remaining contract with the Quezon Huskers, who reached the MPBL finals but lost via sweep against champion Abra Weavers.
Cariaso described the rookie big man as ‘very disciplined and works hard daily.’
“His PBA debut will be delayed, but I believe Ximone will be a future star in our league,” he said.
“In fact, I know he will be.”
The injury meant Sandagon will be out of action for at least a year.
In a separate post in his Facebook account, Sandagon said he remains in high spirit despite this setback in his pro career.
“Every setback is a setup for His Glory!,” he said. “Torn ACL, but not my spirit.”
