BLACKWATER decided to part ways with veteran point guard Baser Amer, who wasn't renewed to a new contract.
Team owner Dioceldo Sy made the confirmation on Tuesday.
No Blackwater deal for Amer
Apparently, both parties failed to agree on a new deal after Amer's previous contract with the Bossing expired at the end of the PBA Commissioner's Cup.
Unconfirmed reports bared Amer has been seen in practices of NLEX, which is coached by Amer's college mentor at San Beda, Frankie Lim.
A No. 7 pick overall by Meralco in 2015, Amer ended up at the Blackwater camp after the 2021 trade that brought Mac Belo to the Bolts.
After being left unsigned by Blackwater, he automatically becomes an unrestricted free agent.

At Blackwater, the 31-year-old guard barely showed the potential that made him a rising star at Meralco as he's often listed on the team's injury list.
When his latest contract with the Bossing expired last Jan. 15, he was offered a new deal by team management, but both camps never got to agree to anything that eventually led the parting of ways.
