Miranda goes to TnT under revised Blackwater-NLEX trade for Poy Erram

    Dec 21, 2018

THE trade between Blackwater and NLEX involving John Paul Erram has been revised into a three-team deal that now includes TnT Katropa and highly improved big man Michael Miranda.

Under the terms of the trade, the Katropa will kick off the deal by sending seldom-used big man Papot Paredes to Blackwater for a 2021 second-round pick.

Shortly after, Blackwater will then send Paredes and Erram to the Road Warriors for Miranda and first-round draft picks Paul Desiderio and Abu Tratter.

Miranda will then be acquired by the Katropa for future second-round picks.

The trade papers had already been sent to the league on Friday afternoon. But due to the coming Christmas holidays, the deal won’t be scrutinized until the 27th.

The revision was made after the PBA office balked at the original Erram deal for Desiderio and Tratter.

That gave TnT the opening to get the services of bruiser Miranda, who has blossomed into a tough frontcourt defender and three-point shooter under NLEX coach Yeng Guiao.

If approved, Miranda should come in handy for TnT, which lost some muscle down low following the trade of Mo Tautuaa to NorthPort in exchange for Terrence Romeo.

Erram and Paredes, meanwhile, will also upgrade the inside plays of the Road Warriors, whose young and quick backcourt anchored on Kiefer Ravena and Kevin Alas has always served as its main strength.

Desiderio and Tratter were actually already given a tender offer each by team management on Thursday along with No. 2 overall pick Bobby Ray Parks.
