BLACKWATER and NLEX will clash for the 2025 Kadayawan Invitational Basketball Tournament crown after beating separate foes on Saturday at the USEP Gym in Davao City.
The Bossing finished the group stage with an unbeaten record after a 93-91 win over Converge, while the Road Warriors defeated Phoenix, 100-96.
Blackwater ended the preliminaries with a 3-0 win-loss mark, followed by NLEX with a 2-1 slate, setting up a championship game on Sunday, 7 p.m. at the USEP Gym.
Sedrick Barefield had 26 points and seven rebounds while RK Ilagan had 16 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and six steals for the Bossing, who led by as many as 13 points in the contest.
Robert Bolick exploded for 27 points while shooting 5-of-9 from threes, as JB Bahio added 16 points and eight rebounds for the Road Warriors.
In their preliminary match, Blackwater defeated NLEX, 95-90, last Friday with the Bossing overcoming a 17-point deficit.

Converge and Phoenix, which finished with 1-2 and 0-3 records respectively, will play the third-place game on Sunday, 5 p.m.
Tyler Tio had 14 points, and Raffy Verano had 12 points in Phoenix’s loss to NLEX.
Alec Stockton had 19 points, and Justin Arana had 14 points for Converge in its game versus NLEX.
