AFTER undergoing revision, its finally a go for the trade between Meralco and Blackwater.
The PBA approved the deal on Friday, with the Elite receiving two future picks from the Bolts along with two other players in exchange for Allein Maliksi and sophomore Raymar Jose.
The Bolts gave up veteran KG Canaleta, young guard Mike Tolomia, and second round picks in 2020 and 2022.
The 4-for-2 deal was given the green light after both parties revised the original deal that was thumbed down by the five-man league committee.
Under the initial agreement, the Bolts will give up Canaleta, Tolomia and a 2nd round pick in the coming draft.
But the five-man committee vetoed the trade, prompting Meralco to also give up its second round pick in 2021.
The deal was eventually approved following the arrival of Commissioner Willie Marcial on Thursday night from China.
