BLACKWATER wishes Joshua Torralba well after parting ways with the sophomore guard, who opted to take his act to new Korean Basketball League (KBL) team Sono Skygunners.
The Bossing admitted the offer of the KBL franchise was too stiff for them to match.

“We can’t match it. As simple as that,” a team insider told SPIN.ph just hours after Torralba announced on social media he’s signing with the company that purchased the Goyang Carrot Jumpers ballclub.
Torralba’s representative Marvin Espiritu of Espiritu Manotoc Basketball Management (EMBM) posted on social media about Torralba’s decision to play overseas.
The contract of the Fil-Am guard out of La Salle with the Bossing expired last July 15.
Blackwater made a new contract offer, but couldn’t come close to the deal he was able to get from the KBL club.
The Bossing however, kept the rights on Torralba once he decides to play again in Asia’s pioneering pro league.
The 6-foot-2 Torralba was a second-round pick (No. 15 overall) by Blackwater in the 2021 draft but was mostly on the injury list in his two years with the franchise.
He suited up for just two games with the team in the ongoing PBA On Tour and averaged 6.5 points and 3.0 rebounds.
In his last season with the team, Torralba played 17 games and averaged 3.6 points and 1.8 rebounds.
