MAURICE Shaw formally became a part of the Blackwater family in the PBA.
The 34-year-old big man on Monday agreed to the three-year, max deal offered to him by the franchise, becoming the second top draft pick to be signed from the Rookie Class of 2019.
Shaw, picked No. 2 overall in last week’s draft, signed the contract at the Blackwater office in Kalookan City in the presence of team owner Dioceldo Sy, team governor Siliman Sy, and his agent Samuel Jeung, a Chinese national who is based in Brunei.
Roosevelt Adams, the top overall pick in the regular draft, was earlier signed to a two-year deal by Columbian Dyip with an option to extend on the third year.
