JEFF Cariaso finally got his first win as Blackwater coach after the Bossing routed TNT Tropang Giga, 101-78 on the final day of the PBA On Tour at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Five players finished in double figures for the Bossing led by the 18 of JVee Casio in a balanced scoring attack.
The win was the first for Cariaso since he began calling the shots last week for the Bossing, who finished their preseason campaign with a 7-4 record.
"The challenge for the guys is to go on a break on a winning note. It doesn't matter what situation were in, it doesn't matter sino ang kalaban, anong games, whether it's the PBA On Tour or a regualr conference," said Cariaso afterwards.
What I wanted to establish is the mindset that you play every game the same way. So doon ako proud with the guys tonight."
Blackwater finished third place as it nosed out Meralco, which also finished with a 7-4 record, but lost to the Bossing last July 14 (89-82).
Casio went 4-of-8 from three-point range while Mike Digregorio was 3-of-6 from the same area for 15 points.
Ato Ular, Rashwan McCarthy, and Troy Rosario had 11 each, while Mike Ayonayon finished with 10 along with Rey Suerto, who also grabbed 10 rebounds.
TNT lost its last three games for a 1-10 record and last in the standings.
