BLACKWATER wrapped up its tuneup games before the resumption of the PBA 50th Season Governors’ Cup by downing Converge, 113-99, on Thursday at the Ronac Gym.
The Bossing won eight days before they go up against Magnolia to resume their campaign on October 9.

Head coach Pat Aquino played down the win, but added his players are already looking forward to getting back to action, especially since their game against Barangay Ginebra last August 9 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium was called off due to monsoon rains.
“Very excited ‘yung mga bata, they are eager to come back,” he said. “Parang ‘yung game against Ginebra, nawala, so we are trying to prepare well as much as we can to improve.”
Bossing's vision board
Currently at fourth in Group B with a 3-3 record, Blackwater has four more games to make a run at a quarterfinal berth.
During the break, the Bossing kept themselves busy with different activities, including jogging at the University of the Philippines in order to stay in shape, while also bonding.
“It’s more of camaraderie, fellowship, and brotherhood na magkakasama kami tumatakbo, at the same time na nagko-conditioning kami. And then marketing din namin ‘yun. Nakikita kami sa maraming tao,” Aquino said.
Sedrick Barefield played in limited minutes for Blackwater, while Christian David, who has yet to play this conference, got court time in the tuneup.
Justine Baltazar was in street clothes and didn’t play for the FiberXers, while Justin Arana saw limited action after coming off a stint with Gilas Pilipinas in the 20th Asian Games.
Imports Kentrell Barkley and Cameron Clark were in uniform, but didn’t play in the fourth quarter.
