BLACKWATER has retooled its lineup on Wednesday after a struggling start to its PBA Commissioner's Cup campaign, picking up Mark Cruz from the free agent market then getting veteran KG Canaleta in a three-player trade with GlobalPort.
The Elite, who have lost their first three games in the midseason conference, formalized their acquisition of free agent guard Cruz after his D-League team, Tanduay, was ousted from the playoffs by Cignal-San Beda.

On the other hand, Canaleta was acquired from GlobalPort in exchange for seldom-used Dylan Ababou and James Forrester to fill the slack left by Art Dela Cruz, who is out for the conference after suffering an Achilles tendon injury in Gilas Pilipinas practice.
