ANGELES CITY - Meralco missed the services of Raymond Almazan in the Bolts' opening game in the PBA Philippine Cup against Phoenix Monday at the Angeles University Foundation gym.
The 6-foot-8 Almazan was in uniform and joined the Bolts in their bench, but was never utilized by coach Norman Black in the game which the Fuel Masters won.
Almazan was a late entry in the Clark bubble after completing his therapy following knee surgery during the off season.

Coach Norman Black said his big man is already fully recovered and given clearance to play, but the team would rather not forced his immediate return.
"He was off for seven months and joined us in the bubble one week ago. With only five days of practice, we decided to give him a chance to get in better condition before he plays to avoid another injury," said Black.
