PETRON import Elijah Millsap got an encouraging message from no less than big brother Paul just hours before the Boosters play the San Mig Coffee Mixers in the Game Seven of the PBA Governors Cup Finals.
The Atlanta Hawks stalwart tried to inspire his younger brother by wishing him and the Boosters good luck on his twitter account @Paulmillsap4.
The younger Millsap bared to Spin.ph how he wishes his older sibling could have watch him as he plays in the best-of-seven Finals right in his first stint in Asia’s first ever play-for-pay league.
But busy with the coming 2013-14 season of the NBA which gets going by next week, the Petron import understands the situation won’t allow his brother to come over and watch him play.
“But if his schedule would allow him, I know he’ll be here for me,” said Elijah.
Millsap made the winner-take-all game of the season-ending conference possible by erupting for 13 points – including nine straight – during the fourth quarter of Game Six which the Boosters won, 99-88, to level the title series at 3-all. He eventually finished with a game-high 30 points.
