BENNIE Boatwright attended his first practice with San Miguel since his return to the team for the PBA 50th Season Commissioner's Cup on Tuesday.
Boatwright has joined the Beermen in their preparations for their next game against NLEX on Sunday.
There have been reports that Boatwright had a shoulder injury during his stint with Daegu KOGAS in the Korean Basketball League, but team manager Gee Abanilla said Boatwright is healthy.
“Okay siya, no injury,” said Abanilla on Tuesday. “I think he is in good shape especially coming from the KBL.”

The 29-year-old Boatwright, who is also being considered as a naturalized player for Gilas Pilipinas, played his last game in the KBL on April 8.
Boatwright has been signed by San Miguel as its third import of the conference after replacing Justin Patton, who went AWOL in their previous outing against Magnolia.
Boatwright is very familiar with the squad, having brought the Beermen to the 48th Season Commissioner's Cup title last February 2024.
Boatwright is nothing new to the situation of being the replacement import, as he also came in to take over Ivan Aska during that championship two seasons ago.
With San Miguel's next contest still on Sunday, Abanilla is confident he will be at his best come the NLEX match-up.
“He could be even better in the coming days,” said Abanilla.
