A FORMER Benilde team captain, a one-and-done point guard from La Salle, and an enforcer of Letran were among the latest players to apply for the coming PBA Draft.
Versatile wing Mark Sangco, playmaker Lian Ramiro, and bruiser Ira Bataller submitted their respective applications at the PBA office on Friday, or less than a week before the draft deadline.

Sangco served as skipper of the Blazers when they finished runners-up to eventual champion Mapua in NCAA Season 100.
Ramiro was also part of the Green Archers team that likewise placed runner-up to the University of the Philippines in UAAP Season 87. Prior to his one-year stint with the Taft-based school, the 5-foot-11 Fil-Am played for U.S. NCAA Division II school University of Arkansas-Fort Smith.
Battaler saw action for the Knights in Season 99, a year after they scored an NCAA three-peat. The 6-foot-4 forward also previously played for University of Santo Tomas.
All three are represented by VP Global Management of Charlie Dy.
L-Jay Gonzales out of Far Eastern University was among the earlybirds to make himself available for the draft proceedings set on Sept. 7.
