A BAD case of vertigo will keep Beau Belga out for possibly a month for Rain or Shine at the start of the PBA Philippine Cup.
Head coach Yeng Guiao said the 38-year-old Belga has been dealing with the health issue over the last two weeks. The Rain or Shine veteran is already addressing it, but will still force him to sit out for a lengthy period.
Belga didn’t play in the conference opener against Rain or Shine where the Elasto Painters lost to NLEX, 109-95.

“Si Beau, baka next month na si Beau,” said Guiao.
“Meron siyang parang vertigo eh. Para siyang nawawalan ng balance… We are just trying to fix that. Baka siguro mga three to four weeks pa siguro [before Belga could return],” he added.
Guiao said Belga is only cleared to do light court activity in practice.
“Mga two weeks ago na. Kailangan lang siyang magpahinga. Kailangang ma-assess ng doktor,” said Guiao.
“Actually, pinapayagan naman siya mag-shooting, pinapayagan siya ng light work pero hindi puwedeng sumobra doon,” said Guiao.

With Belga out, Rain or Shine’s frontcourt has become a lot smaller in the squad’s bid for its fourth consecutive conference semifinal appearance in the Philippine Cup.
Despite his condition though, Belga was on the Rain or Shine bench to lend support to the team.
