ON a night when Rain or Shine paid homage to its past, Beau Belga made a historic feat for the franchise.
Belga had 25 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists, the first triple-double not only of his career but for a local player in franchise history, as Rain or Shine routed Converge, 110-90, on Wednesday in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Belga led the Elasto Painters to their second straight victory in a game where the team coincidentally wore the ‘Welcoat Dragons’ retro jersey in honor of the brand it first carried when the company entered the PBA in 2006.
Converge remained winless in six games in the conference - and in 17 for the entire season.
Belga completed the triple double after an assist to set up a three-pointer by Andrei Caracut at the nine-minute mark of the contest. Belga also shot 9-of-13 from the field that included four threes.
“Beau had a great, great night tonight. We were in the game in the first three quarters and we got our shots in the fourth quarter kaya nakalayo,” said Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao.
Santi Santillan had 23 points and 11 rebounds, while Andrei Caracut added 15 points and 13 assists for the Elasto Painters, who played without leading scorer Adrian Nocum due to an illness.
Justin Arana had 20 points and nine rebounds for the FiberXers.
