THE Bay Area Dragons on Saturday got the feel of the Philippine Arena, holding practice at the Bulacan venue on the eve of Game Seven of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup finals.
Bay Area Dragons hold practice at PH Arena
The Dragons posted a few clips of their practice on their social media account, and the overall sentiment of the players, based on the videos, is amazement to the huge venue.
“This is insane. That’s crazy,” said Hayden Blankley in one of the videos he posted on his Instagram story.
As of posting time, it was not clear if Barangay Ginebra also got an opportunity to practice at the Philippine Arena before Game Seven.
The practice allowed Bay Area to familiarize themselves with the cavernous venue, the site of the biggest crowd in PBA history when 54,086 witnessed Game Seven of the 2017 PBA Governors’ Cup finals.
The Dragons though will have to play in front of a predominant Barangay Ginebra crowd that will be trooping to the Philippine Arena when Game Seven is played on Sunday.
The series went to a Game Seven after the Dragons defeated the Gin Kings, 87-84, last Wednesday in front of 22,361 spectators, the largest PBA audience during the pandemic.
