THERE is a screenshot going around social media of a furious Brian Goorjian during Sunday’s PBA Commissioner’s Cup contest against Barangay Ginebra.
The Bay Area Dragons coach was spotted in the live broadcast angrily grabbing his face with his two hands following a three-second violation called against big man Liu Chuanxing.

Goorjian’s gesture should no longer surprised his good friend and Ateneo coach Tab Baldwin.
In a SPIN.ph interview before the PBA Commissioner’s Cup, Baldwin described Goorjian as an animated coach.
“He used to be one of the most emotional guys and he was a lot of fun to watch,” said Baldwin. “From the practice games, he still has that a little bit in him. So he can be a lot of fun to watch on the sidelines. He gets animated.”
Goorjian suffered his first defeat in his fifth PBA game on Sunday after the Dragons were defeated by Barangay Ginebra, 111-93.
There is definitely no question about Goorjian’s knowledge of the game with a resume that includes leading Australia to a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
“Very astute. He is great in in-game adjusting. He is a very intellectual guy when it comes to the sport of basketball,” said Baldwin, describing Goorjian.
"His knowledge is frightening and how steeped in the game from an early age he has been and how much he knows the game."
