THE Bay Area Dragons are locked in on the PBA Commissioner’s Cup finals that they stayed in the Philippines during the New Year break.
With the Dragons in the country, the guest team avoided the chaos at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport were thousands were stranded on New Year’s Day due to a power outage.

The Hong Kong-based team is focused on the finals that the ballclub even practiced during the holidays, according to team manager Maya Montecillo.
“We are all here and have been practicing through the holiday break,” said Montecillo.
The Dragons are coming off a win in Game Two were they were able to even the best-of-seven finals series last December 28, defeating Barangay Ginebra, 99-82.
The two protagonists resume their finals battle on Wednesday in Game Three at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Bay Area coach Brian Goorjian welcomed the break, giving his ballclub a chance to take a breather before the resumption of the finals.
“You’ve got to make that an advantage,” said Goorjian on the break.
