BASER Amer and Mike Tolomia showed how to juggle country and club as they took part in activities of both the Gilas cadets and mother club Meralco on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Meralco gym.
The young playmakers suited up in the cadets’ tune-up games against Adamson and National University, respectively, in the morning until 12 noon, then just took a one-hour break, before joining the Bolts in practice on the same court.
But they are not complaining.
The rookie Tolomia is trying to make a good first impression as a newcomer after arriving in a trade from Rain or Shine for Ed Daquioag last week.
“Kailangan eh,” Tolomia said.
At least, Amer, Tolomia, and the rest of Gilas taper off in their Southeast Asian Games buildup on Thursday when they are expected to just watch video and run through some of their plays in their last practice before flying to Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
