MARK Barroca remained optimistic despite another near meltdown for Magnolia as the veteran guard insisted that these type of games will only help toughen the Hotshots in the long run.
The Hotshots blew an 18-point lead before hanging on in the end to take a 78-72 win over the Blackwater and notch its fifth straight win in the PBA Philippine Cup on Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Di lahat ng games tambak," said Barroca.
Kailangan namin yun going to the playoffs," he added.
Barroca led the Hotshots with 14 points, making most of his damage in the middle quarters where they started to pull away from the Elite.
And with Paul Lee still on a day-to-day basis, this win is definitely an added boost for the team. But despite this hot stretch, the cat-quick guard out of Far Eastern University stayed grounded as the Hotshots have yet to accomplish their goal.
