ANTIPOLO – Barangay Ginebra broke its slump on Saturday after beating Columbian, 97-85, in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center.

Greg Slaughter had 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Gin Kings, who ended their two-game skid to improve their record to 2-2.

CJ Perez had a game-high 25 points but the Dyip suffered their second consecutive loss to fall to 2-3.

Ginebra coach Tim Cone said the team is still far from the form he wants the Kings to be.

“We played better but not great,” Cone said. “We need to get to great if we want to be contenders this conference.”
