ASI Taulava declined to comment on the possibility that he has played his final game as a PBA player.

The 2003 PBA MVP had little to say about it after his six-point, nine-rebound pitch-in job for the suspended Poy Erram went down the drain as NLEX post to NorthPort in triple overtime, 126-123, in a do-or-die Governors Cup quarterfinal.

“I don’t want to comment on that,” Taulava said.

Taulava had a decorated PBA career that also saw him win a Finals MVP award in 2003 when Talk ‘N Text won the 2003 All-Filipino crown. He also had a Best Player of the Conference award for that title run.

He is also a member of the 40 Greatest Players in PBA history after also winning four Mythical Five first team in his career.

Taulava admitted retirement has also entered his mind during the course of his 20th season as a pro player, especially with his current contract with the Road Warriors expiring at the end of the year.

But he added his priority right now is to rest.

“We will see. I would get some rest, spend some time with my daughter. It’s her birthday. That was the reason why I’m playing so hard,” said Taulava.

“Time for me to be a dad,” he added before bidding reporters goodbye.
