ASI Taulava continued his self-imposed silence after NLEX lost to GlobalPort, 110-96, in their PBA Philippine Cup matchup on Friday.
The veteran had been tightlipped for almost a month now since issues about his playing time and ability to fit in coach Yeng Guiao's system surfaced.
Asked if he was ready to break his silence, the veteran center politely declined to grant an interview once again.
“I don’t want to be buried deeper (than I already am in),” Taulava, 43, said with a smile.
“Silence is the best (treatment),” he added before excusing himself.
It seems the 43-year-old Taulava, who earlier reportedly sought a trade before changing his mind, has yet to adjust to Guiao’s fast-paced system .
He played just seven minutes and 29 seconds against GlobalPort, the same team who SPIN.ph earlier reported tried to get him in a trade in exchange for Billy Mamaril, Karl Dehesa, and a draft pick.
The former league MVP the start but playing just one spell on the court, going scoreless after missing all his three shots and grabbing just two boards.
