ARWIND Santos reiterated there’s no need for him to take more shots than what he has taken for San Miguel Beer so far in the PBA Philippine Cup Finals against Alaska.
The SMB star, who registered just four points on 11 attempts in Game One, turned slightly more aggressive with 10 points on 13 attempts in their 83-80 Game Two loss on Tuesday night.
His offensive production still leaves something to be desired considering the absence of main man June Mar Fajardo, but the former league MVP isn't about to change the way he plays.
Santos, who scattered nine boards, two blocks, and one steal, was scoreless in the fourth quarter where the Beermen still stayed within distance and even took the lead momentarily.
The Beermen missed eight of their 24 attempts from the foul line, including two by Yancy de Ocampo that could’ve given SMB the lead in the endgame.
