SAN Miguel veteran Arwind Santos remains cautious about NorthPort as they clash one more time for a berth in the semifinals of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Santos said he remains wary after the Beermen wasted a huge lead and allowed the Batang Pier to get to within striking distance.
The Beermen held on to the victory, 98-84, to arrange a sudden death match for a semifinal berth, with Santos also playing big in the win by scoring 15 points, grabbing six rebounds, and converting three of his five three-point shots.
Nasa best-of-three pa rin kami. Kailangan namin ng dalawang panalo. Same thing. Kaya ito, naka-isang panalo kami. Sana maipanalo namin ‘yung pangalawa,” Santos said.
There is much work ahead for the Beermen, Santos said, noting that they got a big break when Batang Pier import Prince Ibeh fouled out.
