ARWIND Santos waxed poetic after San Miguel came away with a one-sided 102-90 win over Barangay Ginebra in their PBA Philippine Cup semifinal opener on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Santos made five three pointers to finish with a game-high 23 points to go along with eight boards and three assists in what he considered as a sweet victory for the Beermen.
“Napakalaking bagay nito. Next time, sana makaulit naman kami at makuha namin yung pangalawang panalo,” Santos said with a smile.
However, Santos is wary of the capabilities of Ginebra to storm back especially with a master tactician in Tim Cone calling the shots on the other end.
But the SMB vet is confident they can make the necessary adjustments to prepare for the retaliation of the Gin Kings.
What keeps San Miguel running for Santos is their camaraderie and their togetherness, having that one common goal among them and that is to win more championships.
Ang maganda nito, pare-parehas kami ng pangarap kaya lahat kami nagkakaisa,” he said.
