ARWIND Santos stuck to the positives after San Miguel Beer saw its title-retention bid in the PBA Governors’ Cup end in tatters after bowing to Ginebra in their semifinal decider on Tuesday night.
The SMB star forward was one of the few bright spots for his team as he registered 24 points in three quarters, spiked by four three-pointers, on top of three boards, one assist, one block, and one steal in 31 minutes.
But Santos refused to dwell on the shortcomings of his team as import Elijah Millsap showed up a little too late while June Mar Fajardo was shackled by the Ginebra defense.

On the bright side, Santos said the Beermen have a chance to make a quick turnaround as the Philippine Cup is less than two months away, tentatively set to open November 20.
“Siguro maghanda na lang kami kasi konting hintay lang at all-Filipino na ulit, so try ulit namin at paghandaan ulit,” Santos, a part-time songwriter and singer, said.
“Malungkot kami syempre,” he added.
