ARWIND Santos didn't score much in San Miguel's win over TNT KaTropa in their PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinal series, but he takes pride in being the Beermen's defensive stopper and resident bully.
The former league MVP stood as a feisty figure for the Beermen in a highly physical series that went the distance, resulting in clashes and heated exchanges with TNT's David Semerad, Jay Washington, and Kelly Williams.
Santos he was merely giving what TNT was dishing off.
Ganun ‘yan. Kung ‘yan ang gusto nila, walang problema.”
Santos and Williams got into a physical encounter in Game Three, with Williams throwing Santos to the floor. Santos bared he was even approached by TNT star and fellow Kapampangan Jayson Castro to stop his antics - a plea which he ignored, of course.
Kasalanan nila ‘yun. Sila napikon eh. Part ng game ‘yun.”
On his encounter with Williams, Santos said: “Basta marami akong nasabi. Pero part lang ng game ‘yun. Nothing personal. Kasi gustong gusto naming manalo talaga.”
