ARWIND Santos proved he can be a consistent long-range threat, more so in the 2017 PBA Governors' Cup.
But the San Miguel Beer star forward may already be sending a statement for the upcoming season as it seems his range just got deeper.
Coming off a Governors’ Cup campaign where he averaged three triples and an impressive 41-percent clip from beyond the arc in the eliminations, the 31-year-old flashed an even extended range in practice last Friday.
The 6-foot-4 Santos knocked down a handful of shots from beyond 30 feet with seeming ease during lulls in their training sessions, showing a new weapon in his arsenal.
Asked if he has been working on that this season, Santos played it down.
“Hindi, pare. Alignment lang tawag dun,” he said with a chuckle.
Let’s see if he can shoot consistently from Steph Curry range next season. For sure, opponents aren't looking forward to it.
