JUNE Mar Fajardo knows he can’t win it all by himself.
But constant reminding him of that won't hurt.
San Miguel Beer star Arwind Santos has never forgotten to remind Fajardo to involve his teammates and that has proven to be a major factor in the Beermen moving a step closer to another PBA championship.
Fajardo registered series-lows in Game Five against Rain or Shine on Wednesday night when the reigning league MVP tallied 27 points and 12 boards, but his team still emerged victorious, 103-94.
True enough, the Beermen has been successful whenever Fajardo dished the ball. The 6-foot-10 slotman had zero assist in SMB’s two losses, but has averaged three assists in their three wins.
Santos was among the beneficiaries as the former MVP chipped in 12 points along with five boards, three blocks, two assists, and two steals.
