GAME-FIXING accusations have hounded Arwind Santos for much of his career since his college days with Far Eastern University in the UAAP.
A lackluster performance in Game Four of the PBA Governors Cup Finals, on the night the Petron star was crowned the pro league's MVP, has once again revived those accusations.
To make matters worse, another sub-par game against San Mig in Game Five, where Santos was 'benched' for most of the second half in a losing effort, has only fanned the suspicion.
Did he or didn't he? Arwind was asked.
Santos has vowed to fight tooth and nail in Game Seven.
"Humanda sila. Laban ito kahit magka-tanggalan ng kuko!" said the lanky forward, who learned to play the sport in the rough-and-tumble world of larong kalye.
