THE injury sustained by Rain or Shine guard Ryan Arana is nothing serious although he’ll still likely miss some games in the PLDT myDSL-PBA Philippine Cup Finals.
Tests done on Arana showed the former La Salle stalwart suffered a sprained ligament on his shoulder after he tried to fight off a pick provided by San Mig’s Rafi Reavis in Game Two of the title series Sunday night.
“Nothing serious,” said Edison Oribiana, alternate governor of the franchise on Monday.
But he did substantiate the fears of coach Yeng Guiao that Arana could be doubtful for Game Three set on Wednesday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
“He might miss some games, but depende sa (pain) threshold ni Ryan,” he said. “Basically, day to day ang monitoring niya.”
Arana was taken to the hospital at halftime of Sunday’s game after hurting his collar bone following the collision with Reavis early in the first quarter.
He was held scoreless in nine minutes of play in the game which the Elasto Painters lost, 80-70, that tied the best-of-seven series at 1-1.
