ANTONIO Hester said Terrafirma is determined not to finish the PBA Governors’ Cup winless with thle Dyip down to their last three games in the conference.
Hester recognizes that conference has been a struggle for the Dyip, and they have been working hard to finally get a win. Terrafirma narrowly did just that, but lost by one over Magnolia, 99-98, last Thursday on a floater by Shabazz Muhammad.

“We’ve been just keying in on things in practice, working on trying to get one,” said Hester. “I know it’s sad to say something like that. But at this point of the season, with three game left, we just try not to go 0-10.”
“That’s the main goal. (Against Magnolia), we fought. We had a hell of a game as a team. Just right there. Just one little tweak there could have possibly came to within a win,” said Hester.
Hester had 39 points in Terrafirma’s close loss to Magnolia, but had support with the likes of Kevin Ferrer, Stanley Pringle, and even rookie Paolo Hernandez converting clutch shots in a gallant stand.
“Dog fight. I’m super proud of the guys. I gained so much more respect. I already had respect for these guys. It showed what we could have been,” said Hester.
Hester said Terrafirma will have the same mindset as that in its game against Magnolia when the Dyip play Converge on Saturday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
“We are going to keep fighting. We’ve got a few more games. It ain’t over yet. We are giving our 110 percent out there and ready to go,” said Hester.
Against Magnolia, Hester actually faced the same team he played for during the 2023 PBA Governors’ Cup.
“It’s always motivation. My guys are my brothers. I love playing against them. It’s all love against the guys. It was fun playing against guys that you consider family. I’m proud of my team,” said Hester.
