ANTHONY Semerad has been given a Player of the Week citation for the first time after a solid performance in a thrilling Globalport win over Meralco in the PBA Governors Cup.
Semerad, drafted in 2014, hit the go-ahead triple off a Stanley Pringle pass with 14 seconds left to play to help lift the Batang Pier to their first victory of the conference.

The 6-foot-4 Semerad finished with a career-best 24 points, spiked by six three-pointers, to earn the Accel-PBA Press Corps Player of the Week award for the period of Aug. 8-14.
The Batang Pier held the Bolts scoreless after Semerad’s basket to finally scored a win after four losses to start the conference.
He was picked by scribes over San Miguel Beer's June Mar Fajardo, Talk N Text rookie Troy Rosario, NLEX's Garvo Lanete and Phoenix’s Cyrus Baguio.
The former San Beda forward averages 9.0 points and 1.75 rebounds for the PBA Governors Cup.
