IT turned out Eric Camson is not the only player who’s no longer with Terrafirma for the coming Season 49 of the PBA, but three others as well.

The Dyip have also let go of guards JP Calvo, Gelo Alolino, and Allen Mina as per team manager Ronald Tubid.

Calvo and Mina were both draft picks of Terrafirma in the past, while Alolino was acquired from San Miguel Beer as part of the CJ Perez trade in 2021.

The three along with Camson were part of the Dyip roster that made a serious run in the playoffs of the Philippine Cup last season.

Also no longer around are top Rookie of the Year contender Stephen Holt, Isaac Go, and Javi Gomez De Liano. That means the Dyip have lost half of the lineup that made the franchise's first quarterfinals appearance since 2016.

Holt and Go were traded to Barangay Ginebra for Christian Standhardinger and Stanley Pringle, while Gome De Liano nixed the Dyip offer of a contract extension to sign with a Korean Basketball League team.

Last season, Alolino averaged 5.5 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists, while Calvo normed 2.5 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists as solid backups to starting point guard Juami Tiongson.

Mina meanwhile, has been hardly utilized by coach Johnedel Cardel in his third year in the league.

Both products of Letran, Mina and Calvo played their entire PBA careers with the KIA franchise.

Calvo was one of the team’s two first-round picks in the 2018 draft along with No. 1 overall selection CJ Perez, while Mina was a third-round pick (No. 26 overall) in the Season 47 draft.

Curiously, the two have found new homes in the MPBL, with Mina suiting up for the Pangasinan Heatwaves, while Calvo is with the South Cotabato Warriors.

Losing a total of seven players was perhaps the reason why the Dyip have signed rookies Didat Hanapi, Paolo Hernandez, and CJ Catapusan.

Hanapi and Hernandez were acquired in a trade with Barangay Ginebra for a future second-round pick, while Catapusan was the No. 15 overall pick (second round) in the last draft by the Dyip.
