BLACKWATER missed the service of import Alex Stepheson in its PBA Commissioner's Cup game against San Miguel on Friday due to food poisoning.
The hulking import wasn't around at the Mall of Asia Arena as he was too dehydrated from his bum stomach, according to team manager Pat Aquino.
A team insider added Stepheson already sought medical help, but opted to seek his personal doctor in the U.S.
He left the country on Friday but will be back here Thursday next week.
The Elite currently carry a 5-1 record for a share of the lead with NorthPort going to their game against the Beermen.
The Elite settled for Rabeh Al-Hussaini as their starting center in place of Stepheson.
