(UPDATED) THE dispute between Mahindra and Alex Nuyles has been settled.
Nuyles confirmed to Spin.ph on Tuesday that Mahindra will be fulfilling the contract that was earlier deemed invalid by the ballclub, paving the way for the former Adamson standout to play for the Enforcer in the 41st season of the PBA.
Nuyles gave no other details about the matter, deferring to his agent Ed Ponceja, who has yet to respond to questions from Spin.ph as of posting time.
Nuyles found himself without a salary since September after being informed by Mahindra officials that they decided not to honor the contract extension he was made to sign last July. His previous contract ended last August 31.
Mahindra team manager Eric Pineda explained that the contract Nuyles signed was not yet signed by management, which has since decided to drop the former Rain or Shine cager along with several other players.

But according to a press release sent by the PBA to media outlets, Nuyles said the contract mess was no more than a 'miscommunication' and issued an apology to Mahindra management "for expressing doubts that they will not honor the contract renewal I signed with Kia."
According to the PBA, Nuyles took to social media to vent against the contract row because "he thought (Mahindra) management was reneging on its commitment."
