CEBU CITY – Three PBA teams led by defending Commissioner’s Cup champion Alaska are seeing action in the 2014 Cebu City Charter Day Cup beginning on Friday at the Cebu Coliseum.

Joining the Aces in the three-day, single-round robin competition are Talk 'N Text, GlobalPort, and Mindanao-based team Tagoloan-Natumolan Eagles.

Apart from parading their respective imports during the meet, the tournament will also see the Batang Pier debut of Alex Cabagnot and Bonbon Custodio in the aftermath of the blockbuster, multi-player trade that involved three other teams.

Globalport will be reinforced by high-leaping Evan Brock who suited up for Barako Bull in last year’s Commissioner’s Cup.

Alaska, meanwhile, is bringing back last year’s Commissioner’s Cup best import Robert Dozier, who incidentally, made his debut with the Aces last season in Cebu during the 2013 Sinulog Cup.

Former Portland Trailblazer Richard Howell on the other hand, will be the import of Talk `N Text.

Stalwarts from the University of the Visayas led by Cesafi MVP Wowie Escosio, John Abad, and 6-foot-11 import Jean-Marie Mpouma spearhead the campaign of the Eagles along with Alfred Gerilla, Dennis and Dino Daa, Jovanie Aguilar, and Ferdinand Lusdoc.
