ALEX Cabagnot disclaimed the Twitter account, @askcabaggie, where a cryptic tweet alluding to game-fixing was posted on Tuesday ahead of Game Five of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals.
The tweet hinted that one player from one team is actually being paid by another squad, piquing the curiosity of fans as it made the rounds on the micro-blogging site.
“That person you thought was on your team but was on the other teams payroll! #fighton #hatingtotheupmost,” read the tweet from the account.
But Cabagnot denied the account where the controversial tweet was posted, which had less than 5,000 followers as of posting time, belongs to him.
“Ako ba yun? hindi sa akin yun p’re,” the San Miguel Beer star playmaker told a handful of scribes after Game Five. “Ang daming (posers).”
“It’s not my account,” he added, adding his official account is @cabaggie_5, although that has been inactive since 2014. “Mine has over fifty thousand followers.”

Cabagnot, though, admitted he knew about the tweet and had his own explanation on what it could be about.
“I read it, but wouldn’t it be an analogy? It could be an analogy, too, like somebody close to him or what.”
“Bu it’s weird,” he added.
