ALEC Stockton was determined to bounce back for Converge in its match-up against Rain or Shine last Tuesday.
Limited to nine points in Saturday’s loss to TNT, Stockton redeemed himself by scoring 21 points in Converge’s crucial 103-96 win that strengthened its bid to secure one of the top two seeds in the PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals.

Stockton had no qualms in describing how terrible he played against the Tropang Giga, shooting just 3-for-7 from the field as Converge's four-game winning streak came to an end, 98-96, on a game-winning fallaway by Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.
But he was also quick to put that performance behind him.
“For me personally, I played really bad. I played awful the last game especially down the stretch,” said Stockton, 26. “I wasn’t able to give my team a chance, so I wanted to make sure I bounce back this game."
Stockton came out firing blanks in the first three quarters against Rain or Shine, but found his touch in the fourth where he knocked down 17 points.
“Starting off really bad as well, I just wanted to make sure I’m able to bounce back and give my team a chance to win. That’s pretty much it,” said Stockton.

The former Far Eastern University player made 8-for-16 from two-point range.
“I’m just grateful to have the coach Franco (Atienza), coach Charles (Tiu), coach Willie (Miller), they give their trust in me," he said. "I just want to give it back to them na they put me there to call the game out, and make sure I do a good job for them."
