ALASKA has beaten the buzzer in its search for a replacement import as it has tapped the services Cory Jefferson for PBA Commissioner's Cup.
Jefferson, the last pick in the 2014 NBA Draft by San Antonio and last played for the Spurs' D-League affiliate Austin Spurs, is replacing Octavius Ellis, who had to leave due to an urgent family matter.

Aces coach Alex Compton confirmed the development on Thursday.
The Aces thus found a replacement in the nick of time -- two days before they open their midseason tournament campaign vs Globalport.
