    Alaska Aces bring in journeyman Chris Daniels as import

    ALASKA has tapped Chris Daniels as its import for the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

    The 6-foot-9 Daniels, who came out of Texas A&M - Corpus Christi and went undrafted in the 2008 NBA Draft, has been in town for the past week and has joined the Aces in training, sources said.

    Daniels had stints in the NBA G-League with the Erie Bayhawks, Santa Cruz Warriors, and even won the title in 2013 with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

    The 35-year-old is no stranger to Asian basketball, having made stops in Korea where he served an import for five teams in the Korean Basketball League (KBL), winning two titles with Jeonju KCC Egis and Anyang KGC.

      He also played in Puerto Rico, China, Jordan, and Lebanon, where he last suited up for Al-Riyadi.

      Daniels averaged 12.3 points on a 61-percent shooting, to go with 7.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.0 block this past season in the Lebanese Basketball League.
