VETERAN big man Rafi Reavis will be able to last the 50th anniversary season of the PBA.
The evergreen Fil-Am found a new home at Phoenix which signed him for a conference-long contract in the season-ending Governors’ Cup.
Team manager Paolo Bugia confirmed to SPIN.ph the signing of Reavis on Thursday.
“We signed Reavis for a short -term (contract). One conference na muna,” he said, noting injuries and unavailability of some of the Fuel Masters' other frontcourt players led to the signing.
“Team is looking for his veteran leadership and provide quality minutes when needed.”

Initially, Reavis along with another veteran in Bradwyn Guinto worked out with Phoenix, which had been dealing with the exits of Prince Caperal and Mathew Daves.
The oldest player in the league at 48, Reavis is set to play for his fourth team after previous stops at Coca-Cola, Barangay Ginebra, the Purefoods franchise, and just recently, Converge
He was signed by the FiberXers after failing to get a renewal at Magnolia, but was never utilized by the team which relegated him to the injury/reserved list in the two conferences he stayed with the franchise.
The 6-foot-9 New York native was eventually let go by Converge, leading to his current stint with Phoenix.
An 11-time champion, Reavis was the No. 2 overall pick in the draft by Coca-Cola in 2002, when Fuel Masters' rookie Tony Ynot was only two years old.
