FOLLOWING the trade of Maverick Ahanmisi and Aljon Mariano, Barangay Ginebra has now lost a total of five players from the team that reached back-to-back finals in PBA Season 49.
Prior to the start of their campaign, the Gin Kings were already without long-time captain LA Tenorio, Von Pessumal, and forward Jamie Malonzo, before losing Ahanmisi and Mariano with just a game played in their Philippine Cup campaign.

Tenorio has retired from Ginebra and now coaches Magnolia, while Malonzo took his act overseas and now plays for Kyoto Hannaryz in the Japan B.League.
On Wednesday, the team’s roster got even depleted after Ahanmisi and Mariano were dealt to Terrafirma for the Dyip’s Season 51st first round pick.

As things stand now, Ginebra only has a 13-man roster with big man Isaac Go listed in the injured/reserved list and not scheduled to join the Gin Kings until late December or early January.
Ginebra's shorthanded squad
Ginebra's current lineup include Troy Rosario, Jeremiah Gray, RJ Abarrientos, Scottie Thompson, Nards Pinto, Stephen Holt, Ralph Cu, Raymond Aguilar, Jayson David, Japeth Aguilar, Norbert Torres, Ben Adamos, and rookie Sonny Estil.
Torres and Estil were the only offseason acquisition for the Gin Kings. Torres is an unrestricted free agent, while Estil was taken as the No. 11 overall pick in the last draft.
Ginebra has played just a single game so far, an 80-73 loss to their archrival Hotshots on opening day.
They’re scheduled to play TNT on Wednesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
