NARD John Pinto is officially with Phoenix as the Office of the Commissioner approved a revised trade on Monday that will have forward Joseph Eriobu joining Blackwater.
Pinto is coming off a breakout season with the Elite where he took the reins as the team's starting point guard and averaged 11.3 points on a league-best 56.8-percent clip from downtown, on top of 6.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds in the 2018 Governors' Cup.
But like two other stalwarts - Poy Erram and Paul Zamar - in the Blackwater side that finished fifth in the Governors Cup, Pinto found himself on the move in a trade that was revised prior to gaining PBA approval.
The original deal had Eriobu being shipped to Blackwater together with playmaker Gelo Alolino, but the trade was revised after Phoenix failed to come to terms with the second-year point guard, leading to his unconditional release.
Eriobu was sparingly used in his sophomore year with the Fuel Masters, nabbing only 3.7 points and 1.5 rebounds in his 8.8 minutes of play.
