ADRIAN Nocum was the latest Rain or Shine player to suffer a sprained ankle in the PBA 49th Season Philippine Cup, joining Caelan Tiongson.
But unlike Tiongson who sat out the game against TNT last Wednesday, Nocum, Rain or Shine’s lead guard, will not be missing games for the Elasto Painters, according to coach Yeng Guiao.
“Hindi naman siya serious,” Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao assured. “Since nakita ko na medyo mababa na ‘yung chance of winning, hindi ko na siya pinilit. We are just preparing for the next game.”

Nocum struggled last Wednesday in Rain or Shine’s 111-103 loss to TNT, shooting just 3 of 12 from the field and finishing with eight points after averaging 22.5 points in the two previous games.
The 25-year-old Nocum also missed all four of his three-point shots against the Tropang 5G.
An added good news for Rain or Shine is that Tiongson is also slated to return to action in the Elasto Painters’ next outing that will come on Wednesday against Phoenix.

The Rain or Shine forward rolled his ankle against Magnolia last Sunday.
“Caelan is coming back in the next game. It’s a good development,” said Guiao of the 33-year-old Tiongson, who averaged 15.3 points and 5.0 rebounds in four games with the Elasto Painters this conference.
