PHOENIX Pulse and Columbian Dyip look to sustain their strong start in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
The Fuel Masters and the Dyip face off in the 4:30 p.m. game.
Phoenix is on top of the standings alongside NorthPort with a 2-0 record following Saturday’s 93-84 win over TNT.
The Fuel Masters take on the Dyip, who started the tournament with a shock 124-118 win over San Miguel.
All eyes will once again be on Columbian rookie CJ Perez, who debuted by scoring 26 points in the victory over San Miguel, while Phoenix will again count on Calvin Abueva to show the way.
Perez has been dubbed the 'Baby Beast' during his time at San Sebastian, where he drew comparisons with former Stags star Abueva.
In the second game, winless squads NLEX and TNT square off at 7 p.m.
The Road Warriors and the KaTropa hold a 0-2 slate. NLEX lost to NorthPort, 95-90, last Sunday, while TNT bowed to Phoenix.
TNT will not have Michael Miranda in the game as he was suspended by the league for throwing a closed fist on Justin Chua in the waning moments of their game against Phoenix.
