JUMBO Plastic Linoleum beat MP Hotel, 78-72, on Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena to advance to the quarterfinals of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
Paul Sanga scored 13 of his 15 points in the final period to pace the Giants to end the eliminations with a 5-4 win-loss record. The Giants sealed the No. 5 spot in the quarterfinals and will face fourth-ranked twice-to-beat Hapee.
Philip Paniamogan and Southeast Asian Games-bound Glenn Khobuntin each had 13 points for Jumbo Plastic, which trailed 55-56 at the end of the third over the lowly MP Hotel.
The Warriors finished the conference with a 1-8 win-loss slate.
