JAHWAR Purdy had 31 points as Pateros Austen Morris Associates defeated Malolos Mighty BulSu, 91-84, for its first win in the Filsports Basketball Association (FBA) Second Conference at the Trinity University of Asia Gym.
Purdy, who was picked by Blackwater but left unsigned in this year’s PBA Rookie Draft, added seven assists to help Pateros get on the winning track after a 0-4 start to the conference.
Meanwhile, Pampanga Foton Toplander remained undefeated after beating Quezon City-University of the Philippines Maroons, 74-65. Marlon Gomez had a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds in Toplander's fifth successive win.
Matt Salem had 13 points while Issa Gaye added 11 markers as Manila-National University MFT beat Marikina Wangs Deliverers, 70-59.
The Bulldogs are in second place at 4-1 of the league supported by Korgivit E and Titan and aired over Aksyon TV, Net 25, and FOX Sports.
